This weekend we will be holding a secret santa event. This event will be held on our "all" server, with GM Voxx and Raikou acting as santa . We will go around to populated game rooms and give a gift to everyone in the room. Also, we will not be under our regular account names so keep a look out for the ones dressed as santa.

Recently I was able to sit down and interview GalouraBR.  Here is what he had to say:

Greetings Everyone,

In preparation for the holidays, we have decided to suspend the Winter Tournament for 2 weeks.  As many may be on vacation and visiting loved ones, who may not have GONG installed(have them install it ) or are just relaxing and taking time off from the Cyber World, we thought it would be best to suspend this event to allow you all to enjoy yourselves.  So with that being said, we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.  See you all when you return!  The tournament will resume on December 29, 2008.

Week in Review

This week has been a very busy one. We have much in store for our community, and we should have the new patch up and running at the start of next week. We expect a lot of changes to come from this latest patch. New users, New Clubs (groups), New Tournaments, and New Events these are all expected to change with in the coming weeks. I would challenge everyone over the next week to invite people to enjoy the new features of this new patch. We expect to get a lot of feedback to come about this patch and you voice must be heard. So I would like to hear from you the community. I am thinking of adding a new section for our communities section, it will be called the "Grab Bag". The "Grab Bag" will be a section of our community home that I will take your questions about GONG changes you want to see, questions about special skills, best times to use items. Whatever it might be, I your community manager will be on the hot seat. If this sounds like something you all will want then please vote up this blog and comment to it. Today, our GM Raikou had a chance to interview our featured player of the week Grigandalf99. Here is some of there interview:

Raikou: Where are you from and who is your favorite soccer team?

Grigandalf99: Turkey - FENERBAHCE

Raikou: When do you usually play GONG?

Grigandalf99: Daytime in USA

Raikou: What do you like about GONG the most?

Grigandalf99: I like it because it is about soccer and sharing

Raikou: What is the most memorable moment you had when playing GONG?

Grigandalf99: I think it was when we were playing LOLITO for the first time and he was in the opposition team for me and one of my player were not moving so lolito said he will be waiting in the side to make the game even for both teams. That is a great example of fair play and I think this game is all about fair play.

Raikou: What is your favorite skill and why?

Grigandalf99: Sudden Kick because it is so sudden that most players can’t defend it on time with a wall and most importantly is it the most realistic skill in the GONG

Raikou: Do you have a rival you like playing against and who if you don't mind us asking?

Grigandalf99: LOLITO - the best fair play

Raikou: What is your favorite item from our shop and why?

Grigandalf99: Ice Cube because there is no way the rival player can move

Raikou: Which map do you think is the best map in your opinion and why?

Grigandalf99: ARENA - It is the stadium and no outside interference.

Raikou: If you could change something about our game, what would it be and why?

Grigandalf99: I would change nothing at the moment. I think everything looks really nice.

Raikou: Who do you think will win the World Cup in 2010?

Grigandalf99: Turkey

I got to check out clubs today and does it look fun. You get to set up you clubs name, club emblem and clubs clothes. Here are some pictures of the club tab.

I think the best part will be the club attributes. All of your favorite attributes can now be changed depending on your team’s tactic. Coins will help speed up this process. Uniforms -- you have 3 item slots to fill, chest, legs and backpack. These can be customized to clubs specifications. But, be careful it cost 2000 club points to reset. Lastly, the front page will show your club's place card which is information your leader need to relay to your team. Club notes can be placed on this page as well and are created by anyone in the club. Clubs will be a great addition to GONG and add more of a team play atmosphere .

Clubs should be released later this winter season. Also, make sure to look into our VIP service it will be the only way you can own a club.
