Just wanted to let everybody know that the peak concurrent players doubled during the month of December, 2009. Essentially there were twice as many gong players!

Gong Online Holiday Patch

The holidays are coming to Gong!

It’s the time for changes and the time for giving. We here at Sleepy Giant are excited to announce our upcoming new holiday patch. We’ve been dropping some hints here and there, but we just can’t hold back the secret any longer.

On December 22, 2009 a big batch of new items will be added to the already vast amount of accessories, clothing, and more available in game. The coming star of this patch is a mystery full set of clothes. We know how anxious you are to see what Santa’s brought, so we’ll be giving a sneak peek before the day of the patch. Just check in on the forums this weekend and AmazingK will be posting a leaked image of the mysterious new set!

It is a sad day here as we must announce that GM Raikou is leaving.  You probably noticed his absence over the last couple of days.  He is moving on to some other things but will hopefully stop by every once and a while to say hello.  Send him a shout to wish him luck.  I'll be working with the current mods to make sure we keep the community moving!

Starting today we will be accepting replays from players to put in our weekly highlights at the end of each following week.  This means that we will be taking replays for the week before and compiling them for the following saturday.

Example: Entries starting today and ending on Feb 13, 2009, will be compiled and released on Feb 21, 2009.

Entries we receive from Feb 14 - Feb 20, will be released Feb 28, 2009.

With the release of patch .406 gongers will see changes with the club attribute cost. Sleepy Giant understood that the pricing for the club attribute upgrades was to expensive. So we have made these changes:
 

 
Once the leader of the club unlocks the corresponding attribute it will become unlocked for all users in the club to spend their player point. Player points are gained by playing with members in your club and either winning the match or drawing. Once you have chosen what area you would like to upgrade you must play as a club for the attributes to take effect in game.
Here is the cost for the club leaders to unlock the attributes for their team.

    

So make sure to keep on top of your club leaders because each club can make their club as unique as they please. Enjoy!
