We have revamped the GONG! World Cup to see which country can field the most active commmunity members!
How It Works
The GONG! World Cup will take the total Community Points for the top 11 players for each country.

Prizes
The players that makeup the top 11 player lineup from each of the Top 3 countries will win a special item.
This Cup will run until September 1, 2009. You can follow the leaderboard on the Community Home Page.

Tuesday - The Top Attacker – Most Goals of the Day on TUESDAY will be rewarded 5 coins on WEDNESDAY after a script is run to obtain the Top Attacker
Wednesday - The Top Helper – Most Assists of the Day on WEDNESDAY will be rewarded 5 coins on THURSDAY after a script is run to obtain the Top Helper
Thursday - The Top Midfielder – Most Passes of the Day on Thursday will be rewarded 5 Coins on FRIDAY after a script is run to obtain the Top Midfielder

We are holding a contest to give players a chance to have their artwork shown in our bonus features section of our upcoming release of Retail Box. The community points have been revised. These changes come to GONG! to help users achive an increased amount of community points. Community points directly influence your GONG! World Cup ranking. The following is the new community point system.
1. What are community points?
The community points system was implemented as a way to reward players who are consistently active within the community.
Think of it as an out-of-game scoring system which is used to earn higher status and gain levels.
2. How do I earn community points?
Points are automatically awarded for various actions on the website.
The following table provides the details1 for point distribution:

3. How does earning points benefit me?
Earning points grants access to special contests and events, prizes (physical goods and/or in-game items), community badges, and bragging rights of course.
To help gauge how active you (and others) have been in the community, refer to the community levels2 below:

In the course of testing and retesting the game, our team has played hundreds of games. I know for us, reaching the mark of playing a 100 games was a nice achievement. I know because we all celebrated that special 100th game moment!!! Now it's your turn: Reach a mark of 100 games played during the beta service and we'll hook you up with the following rewards: * A Special badge to show off to the GONG! community * A Special ingame item, (to be determined) * Recognition on the website It's a lot of effort.
